Chopsticks are probably some of the oldest eating utensils around. From the simplistic ones you get at an Asian takeout (paper sleeve, snap apart) to fancy ones that are lacquered and inlaid with mother of pearl, the chopstick is considered more utilitarian than art. I have created art that is meant to be used...to eat or decorate your hair. Each pair is handmade and adorned with with antique copper and additional splashes of color. The art end is coated with a thick coat of gloss lacquer for protection. The business end is coated with food-safe mineral oil which can easily be replenished after hand washing.
